After a two-week absence, here are a few stories to read this morning.
- Draft2Digital is now going to charge an account setup fee, and a maintenance fee on low revenue accounts. (Given the number of unprofitable accounts they took on from Smashwords, I am surprised it took them this long.)
- Barnes & Noble announced policy changes for their self-pub unit, including a new limit of 100 titles per account, no public domain titles, and a minimum retail price for print books.
- Ugh, Amazon is now offering to automatically translate your ebooks from English to German.
- Jonathan Bailey explains why he added an AI disclosure to his website.
- A British author turned down a $175,000 prize because of the media commitments.
-
BookFunnel now supports media file downloads.
P.S. Do I know anyone who has gone to or is otherwise involved in Readercon?
