Here are a few stories to read this Monday morning.
- Robin Phillips raises a point which has bugged me for some time. QR codes never expire (they are as fixed as bar codes) but the service that generated the code for you may decide to intentionally break the connection between the QR code and its destination. (Bitly does this, unfortunately.)
- Two books were excluded from consideration for a literary award because the covers used AI generated images.
- Books and other printed materials have been excluded from the EU’s regulations on deforestation.
