Here are a few stories to read this Monday morning.
- I remember years ago when we were first discussing AI-generated content at SF cons, and someone claimed AI made new and original content. No, it doesn’t.
-
James Folta asks why editors can’t spot AI-generated content?
- Swedish schools are bringing back books.
- Ryan Holiday shares what he has learned from 5 years of owning a bookstore.
- Jane Friedman shares what bookstores are looking for from publishers and authors.
P.S. One of the stories this week inspired me to see what Google’s search result AI said about me. I hadn’t optimized for this at all, but everything was correct and made me sound good. Apparently the trick to AI SEO is the well-written content we are supposed to have anyway? (I wasn’t going to offer this as a specialty, but apparently I don’t need to do anything special, either.)
P.P.S. Another factor to AI SEO is being careful about what people are saying about you online. This was already important, so not really something that needs to be addressed specifically for AI.
